Sometimes you have a bowl of something that needs to be blended and you don’t want to bother with the regular blender or it’s just way too much. This immersion blender is perfect for that. It comes in really handy. This is great for anyone who likes to cook or bake. It’s small but sturdy and well made. We use it for soups, puddings, and all kinds of things. My daughter just used it to blend up a cranberry curd for a tart on Thanksgiving. It works very well.

Light Up Cornhole Game Set 

This is a fun game to play now that the weather is cooling off in Texas. We can actually go outside and enjoy the evening. You can even play it inside if you live somewhere snowy in the winter. This is a good camera for a kid because it’s pretty hardy and easy to use. The quality of the picture is not great, the picture they have on the listing is not accurate. But it prints right from the camera which is really fun for kids. I like that it just has a roll of paper it prints the photos on and you tear off the picture, like a receipt machine. There’s no messing with expensive film packets. Easy and simple. The controls are easy to navigate and my 7 year old had no trouble figuring it out right away. It also has silly filters and games on it.

These are so fun! The fish swim through the water by twitching the tail fin and it does it at different intervals so it’s more realistic. They don’t move until they get in the water so it really looks like they’re swimming. One of my kids is obsessed with fish and he plays with these for hours. This coffee table book is a gift for the artist in your life. It’s filled with pictures of frozen landscapes juxtaposed with broken down, giant robotic structures. The author adds stories of his fictional childhood where all kinds of strange things happen. The overall mood is subdued and a little dark at times but really interesting. I’m gonna get the next book in the series if my son likes this one enough.

There’s a rabbit hole of Brandon Sanderson books you could go down after this series too. It’s always fun to find a new author and have a new bunch of enjoyable books to read. Great author. A great game for a wide range of players. It’s easy to understand the rules so younger kids can play but the older you are, the more strategy you can employ. We loved this game so much growing up that we had several sets. I still have a set from when I was a kid that has plastic jewel animals!

This is a great Christmas gift idea for a husband, dad, uncle, older brother, or teenage son. It’s pretty pricey but it lasts for years and years- especially if your guy doesn’t wear cologne very often. My husband has used this scent since before we met and I LOVE it! I’ve only had to re-buy it for him once and we’ve been married for almost 20 years. Worth it!

DIY Ukulele Kit 

I already mentioned getting a ukulele above but this is a kit to make your own! This is great for someone who likes projects to put together. Or, if you like to make presents, this is a fun way to put time and effort into a gift. We usually try to make at least one present for each of our kids each year and we’ve made three ukuleles so far. They go together easily and it’s fun to paint designs on them. They’re not the highest quality and you do have to tune them more often than the professional ukuleles but they still sound good and are very playable. Good beginner instruments.
